National Bank of Greece (NBG), the owner of  Stopanska Bank Skopje, will withdrawn from the market in Southeast Europe, in the case of the agreement, made between the Greek banking groups and the European Commission (EC).

National Bank of Greece has reached an agreement with the institution of competition within the European Commission, under which the Group will retain a majority stake in Turkey's Finansbank branches, but it will give up most activities in Southeast Europe. Thus, the National Bank of Greece will withdraw from Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

However, from the management of Stopanska Bank – Skopje for “Capital” they say that at this time the information is at the level of speculation.
