This year's summer season was the most successful since founding of two Montenegrin air port, along with a substantial increase in number of passengers and landing, especially in August , said director of Podgorica and Tivat airport, Dragan Milanovic and Ranko Boskovic. Milanovic said that from the standpoint of Podgorica Airport, period of summer season can be characterized as more than successful, and the best evidenced are numbers that have already exceeded projected expectations for this year.
” From May 1st to August 30th over Podgorica Airport 335 500 passengers is serviced, 14 percent more and 2350 aircraft, which represent increase of two percent compared to the same period last year . Just during August 101.2 thousand passengers was serviced, 19 percent more than in the same month last year , which is also record in number of passengers on monthly level in so far history of airport in Podgorica , ” said Milovanovic.
He believes that the Airports of Montenegro with its two airports , all in recent years, been a positive example how to systematically build and expand their own capacities and how to raise level of their services.

-In that way, modernized and reconstructed airports in Podgorica and Tivat opened Montenegrin sky for all interested airlines and tour operators and made Montenegro more popular air destination. This does not mean that the job is completed , contrary, Airports of Montenegro and all other entities must continuously work on improvement of staff and quality of services, explained Milanovic.
